Research and present findings on what is next advancement in endoscopic device (ureteroscope) for the treatment of kidney stones.
I was part of the bigger team that conducted various studies and research as part of the Ethnographic Study to understand the unmet needs in the overall journey of kidney stone treatment. We had visited multiple hospitals and interacted with surgeons and technicians throughout the journey - pre, post and during the procedures.
Back at the table we consolidated our findings and categorized the unmet needs under easy to understand functional, technical and UX heads. We presented our findings to customer teams and suggested design changes to address the high priority unmet needs and took customer buy-in.
Design stage followed where our Industrial Design studio generated images representing multiple options and also crafted dummy look-alike prototypes of selected images. This helped customer team to narrow down on two final designs for detailing features and building functional prototypes.
Shown here in the images is one of the final selected model and the functional prototype.
